Mumbai City FC have completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Yoëll van Nieff on a two-year deal. The 30-year-old arrives from Hungarian club Puskás Akadémia FC, where he spent the last four seasons.
Van Nieff is a versatile midfielder who can play in a variety of positions, including central midfield, defensive midfield, and right-back. He is known for his strong tackling and passing ability, and he is also a good dribbler.
The Dutchman has a wealth of experience at the top level, having played in the Eredivisie, the Eerste Divisie, and the Hungarian League. He has also represented the Netherlands at the U19 and U20 levels.
Van Nieff is Mumbai City’s second Foreign signing of the transfer window, and he is expected to be a key player for the club in the upcoming Indian Super League season.
Mumbai City FC are the Shield winners of Indian Super League. They will begin their title defense on November 20, 2023, against Jamshedpur FC.
