The Club’s Second Initiative to Promote International Exposure for Young Players
Kerala Blasters Football Club’s promising player, Vibin Mohanan, is all set to spend the month of July at Greek Football Club OFI Crete F.C for an intensive training program. The talented midfielder will participate in the pre-season training with OFI Crete F.C in Crete from 3rd July to 14th July 2023.
Following the training in Crete, Vibin will continue his development in Europe during the second phase of the program, which will take place in Oosterbeek, Holland. From 15th July to 30th July, OFI Crete F.C is scheduled to participate in three friendly games against prominent Dutch clubs, namely SC Heerenveen, FC NAC Breda, and FC Utrecht.
Karolis Skinkys, the Sporting Director of Kerala Blasters Football Club, expressed his confidence in Vibin’s potential and highlighted the club’s commitment to nurturing and encouraging young talent. Vibin’s successful first season with Kerala Blasters has earned him this valuable opportunity, and the club aims to deliver on their promises to talented players like him, who put their trust in the club for their future.
Skinkys also emphasized the significance of such initiatives in providing international exposure to young Indian players. This marks the second time that Kerala Blasters Football Club has initiated such international exposure trips for its players. In the previous season, academy graduates Aimen and Azhar had a similar training stint with Polish club Rakow Czestochowa, further underscoring the club’s commitment to promoting the growth and development of its young talents on the global stage.
